ROLE PURPOSE:

As the Assistant Store Manager, your main focus will be to assist the Store Manager in fostering a customer-centric and product-driven sales environment. You will play a key role in overseeing sales operations, ensuring asset protection, and managing human resources functions to elevate the customer experience and drive profitability.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Cultivating Performance Culture
  • Evaluating sales reports and KPIs to identify business needs; collaborating with the Store Manager to implement effective business and sales strategies.
  • Setting clear expectations and holding the store team accountable for meeting brand, performance, and behavioral standards.
  • Managing payroll and supply budget efficiently.
  • Overseeing operational activities such as scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Implementing financial processes accurately, including cash handling, price adjustments, and register operations.
  • Upholding compliance with laws and policies, conducting training sessions to enforce controls.
  • Managing operational tasks like inventory management, replenishment, and maintaining the store's visual standards.
  • Creating a high-performance culture to drive sales team productivity.
  • Providing comprehensive product knowledge training to the sales team.
  • Motivating and guiding the team in fulfilling customer orders effectively.
Developing High-Performing Teams
  • Inspiring and uniting the store team with a shared vision and core values.
  • Encouraging a collaborative problem-solving approach.
  • Facilitating positive changes through effective communication with the team.
  • Seeking growth opportunities and feedback to enhance leadership skills.
Enhancing Customer Experience
  • Leading by example in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrating sales techniques and product knowledge to assist customers effectively.
  • Ensuring prompt resolution of customer issues.
  • Maintaining efficient store operations, including cash handling and security practices.
  • Building strong client relationships and driving customer engagement initiatives.
Talent Management
  • Assisting in recruiting, training, and developing a competent team.
  • Supporting training programs and providing coaching for performance improvement.
  • Assessing and guiding the team on their performance.
  • Resolving HR matters promptly in partnership with the Store Manager.
  • Recognizing and rewarding outstanding employee performance to boost engagement.
  • Ensuring adherence to employment practices and policies.
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

This role may be available across multiple brands, with slight variations in responsibilities.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of retail management experience preferred
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Ability to adapt to technology tools provided by the company
  • Proven track record in customer service, sales, and leadership
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent leadership, training, and team-building capabilities
  • Familiarity with store operations administration
  • Proficiency in interacting with customers and team members
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Regular standing and walking throughout the shift
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. and climbing
  • Frequent mobility required during the shift
