POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Network Deployment Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing strategic projects with the intent of driving positive sustained results and improving key performance indicators. The candidate will have a strong understanding of networking concepts, proven successful experience implementing process change, with the ability to work cross-functionally across departments, as well as communicate effectively up and down the organizational structure.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

  • Leads, plans, and coordinates all aspects of technical projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft excel as all documentation is excel based.
  • Advanced technical understanding of Network projects to discuss site requirements with all stakeholders including but not limited to engineers, PM's and Management.
  • Manages project initiation activities including identifying contractual obligations, client needs and goals, existing situation, necessary contacts, and access to existing information as needed.
  • Proactiveness is required as the role includes many layers of planning from the start of each site deployment from surveys, staging of hardware and deployments.
  • Effectively communicate all project timelines, deliverables, and risks associated with the completion of each projects' objectives.
  • Manage customer expectations on updates of all documentation throughout the week for both customer internal documents.
  • Serves as liaison between technical and non-technical teams, in internal organizations as well as in client and vendor/subcontractor organizations to ensure all project targets and requirements are met.
  • Conducts project closure activities to formalize and communicate the project acceptance, handover documentation and ongoing activities to accountable teams and complete a post-implementation review to identify areas of improvement.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEED:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
  • Project Management Certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience in Technical Project Management with a focus on Networking
  • Must have a solid working knowledge of Networking Concepts
  • Successful history of leading, managing, and implementing impactful process improvement projects.
  • Must be a proven self-starter operating with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple, sometimes competing priorities.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite / advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel
