M1 is looking for a(n) Chief Financial Officer
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Summary
Develops procedures and policies to ensure the financial well-being of the Company by providing financial
projections and accounting services; assists the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and the Chief of Business
Operations (CBO) on all strategic matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting
needs and the securing of new funding; and directs finance and payroll personnel.
Essential Functions
Provides the COO with an operating budget and assist to ensure success through cost analysis support with all
contractual requirements. Interprets legislative and programmatic rules and regulations to ensure compliance
with all federal, state, local and contractual guidelines; ensures regulations and requirements are disseminated to
the appropriate personnel; and monitors compliance with those laws. Oversees the management and coordination
of all fiscal reporting activities for the Company including organizational and contract revenue/expense and
balance sheet reports; accounts payable and receivables; business insurance plans and health care coverage
analysis; and the inventory of all fixed assets, including assets purchased with government funds to assure
compliance with federal regulations. Develops and maintains systems of internal controls to safeguard financial
assets of the organizations programs. Monitors the banking activities; ensures adequate cash flow to meet the
Company's needs. Serves as the administrator of the Retirement Plan; investigates cost-effective benefit plans
and other fringe benefits;
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Requires knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and FAR regulations.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directs, plans, coordinates, trains and evaluates the finance and payroll personnel on raising awareness and
knowledge of financial management matters.
Supervises, oversees and provides resources to expedite flow of communication in a secure and expeditious
manner to employees. Evaluates performance of finance and payroll staff.
Working Conditions
Performs most duties within an office environment. May be required to travel to site locations and/or meetings
with vendors, customers and/or business partners.

Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting

  • At least 10 years of financial and management experience
  • Must possess proven skills and abilities in proactive leadership, supervision, and mentoring
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing
and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work are
required

  • Valid drivers' license
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance or any other clearances as required by the
Company and/or contracts

Working Conditions:

  • Performs most duties in an office environment.
  • May be required to travel to and work in worksite locations including military installations.
  • Extensive sitting to climbing, standing, stooping, bending, pushing, kneeling, stretching, and
walking demands.
