SUMMARY


The Electro-mechanical Maintenance Lead will coordinate preventive maintenance and repair schedules for manufacturing equipment, assign work to technicians, provide technical expertise, and perform hands-on repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical electrical, mechanical, vacuum, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment.

Additional responsibilities include managing the spare parts inventory, ensuring accurate information is recorded in the CMMS, minimizing production downtime, developing the skills of other technicians improving equipment reliability, and providing excellent customer service to internal customers.

1st shift Monday - Friday 6:00 am-2:30 pm

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Assigns preventive maintenance and repair work with consideration to production schedule, skills levels of technicians, and urgency of repairs needed.
  • Perform and lead repairs and preventative maintenance and troubleshooting on industrial machinery including thermoforming machines, temperature control units, vacuum pumps, die cutters, molds, air compressors, CNC machines, drying ovens, material handling systems, and other miscellaneous equipment.
  • Repair, troubleshoot, and maintain industrial electrical controls, and hydraulic, vacuum, pneumatic, and mechanical equipment.
  • Serves as technical lead as well as leads and performs technical and routine maintenance.
  • Maintains equipment records in the CMMS. Ensures all data is properly recorded in the CMMS.
  • Establishes and maintains spare parts inventory. Orders and stocks spare parts.
  • Maintains integrity of equipment manuals and documentation.
  • Adheres to and promotes safe work practices. Follows lockout/tagout procedures.
  • Promotes and maintains a clean and organized work environment.
  • Devises methods to improve processes, procedures, and installations with an eye toward efficiency, reliability, and longevity.
  • Perform other related duties and supervisory functions as assigned.

SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead a team of approximately four (4) technicians

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or EXPERIENCE

  • GED required (minimum)
  • Six (6) years' experience troubleshooting and repair of electro-mechanical equipment in an industrial environment.
  • Two (2) years' experience in a Maintenance Lead role with at least one direct report.
  • Electro-mechanical apprenticeship or education considered.
  • TPM and Lean experience are a plus.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.
  • Proficient written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with other employees and as part of a team.

JOB SKILLS

  • Extensive knowledge of electrical controls, hydraulic, pneumatic vacuum, and mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of troubleshooting procedures utilizing PLC I.O.
  • Inventory improvement & organization experience desired.
  • CMMS, Word, Excel, and Outlook experience needed.
  • Able to conduct routine preventative maintenance.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills applicable to industrial manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to read electrical and hydraulic schematics.
  • Strong attention to detail is required.
  • Math skills: ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals; ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Computer skills: exposure to a networked environment using a Windows and/or Windows-like interface using the Microsoft Office suite; ability to use Enterprise-wide information systems such as drawing-viewing programs.
  • Time Management & Organizational skills: flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and assignments; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently, cross-functionally, and proactively to resolve issues or notify the supervisor of resources needed.

WORK ENVIRONMENT


Carlisle Interconnect Technologies is a clean facility, housing different machinery, equipment, processes, and chemicals that produce potential hazards in the work environment such as ergonomic, chemical, machine point of operation, and powered industrial vehicle traffic.

These hazards are controlled through means of engineering controls, such as machine guarding, and administrative controls, such as safety policies and programs.

In certain areas of the facility, employees are required to wear Personal Protective equipment such as Hearing Protection, Safety Glasses, Safety Toe Shoes, and hand protection.


PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT REQUIREMENTS

  • ASTM F , ANSI Z41-1999, or ANSI Z rated safety toe shoes
  • Clear ANSI Z87.1 safety rated glasses.
  • Ability to comply with JSA in specific areas.

SALARY INFORMATION
In compliance with CA state law, the hourly range for this position is $35-$42 per hour. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
