In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Independently design, execute, and or oversee execution of method development and process improvements under GLP to be implemented in a production QC department; this includes researching and selecting potential methods, authoring, reviewing and approving method development and validation protocols, design transfer plans, reports, associated SOPs and analysis workbooks and associated laboratory notebooks.
  • Serve as a core team member on strategic multi-functional projects; accountable and responsible for the creation and execute of L1/L2 schedule, project deliverables, method transfer and lead extended team members.
  • Act in a Team Lead role to assigned POD of 2-3 entry and intermediate level associates responsible for performance and development objectives, training, on-time delivery and first line of escalation: acts as decision maker in recommendations and/or proposals from POD associates, as necessary.
  • Apply statistical analyses and experimental design to large datasets; able to interpret complex datasets to solve complex problems; often taking a new perspective using existing solutions.
  • Execute wet-bench tasks associated with method characterization, validation plans and quality events such as non-conformances and deviations, execute method transfer activities, and assist in data analysis. The essential requirements of the job include:
  • Bachelor's degree in science related field required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of of lab experience required, including relevant QC techniques (PCR, qPCR, NGS, HPLC, GC, CE, ESI).
  • Demonstrated experience in QC development, new product development and process improvement implementation in a regulated environment which is governed by a formal Quality Management System and documenting activities in laboratory notebooks in accordance with GLP.
  • Demonstrated experience in written and verbal communication, using Microsoft Office tools, to a wide variety of audiences.
  • Experience with statistical analysis and experimental design (JMP, SAS, R, DOE, etc.). It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
  • coaching and mentoring others.
  • developing qualification plans for QC scientists .

The salary range for this role is $110, $120, This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
