Job Description:
1. Ability to work as an independent contributor as well as a strong team player
2. Demonstrate strong research and analytical skills. Demonstrate the ability to articulate and solve problems by gathering and analyzing information and making decisions
3. Cross train and serve as domestic and international wires executor from end to end
4. Collaborate with General Accounting to support the AP cash reconciliation as needed; work with g/l to identify and resolve any reconciling items.
5. Monitor key processes affecting the department's productivity, i.e. Match Exceptions, Invoices on Hold, A/P Aging and other key reports.
6. Reconcile monthly vendor aging statements. Work with AP staff to correct discrepancies
7. Must have a strong customer service orientation to work effectively with a wide range of constituents in a diverse community including all levels of staff, management, Governance, and with vendors.
8. Identify issues and/or areas for improvement in work environment, production processes, projects, and systems. Participate in testing upgrades and implementation of financial/AP software.
9. Exceptional area oversight
- Includes pre-month end reviews of outstanding supplier approvals, invoices on hold, match exceptions and other unpaid vouchers
10. Reconciliation of wire and check payments between PeopleSoft and the bank
11. Execute weekly pay cycle
Qualifications:
1. Must have strong communication skills, both oral and written.
2. Must have strong analytical and critical thinking skills
3. Must have strong attention to detail, accuracy, good judgment, and time management and prioritization skills to meet deadlines
