Job Description

The Risk Management Manager will be a key stakeholder, supporting Vertiv's functional departments (e.g. Legal, IT, EHS, Finance) and market units globally. Responsibilities include broker management, policy renewals, claims management, contract reviews, exposure data collection and analysis, and other key initiatives.

This position will be located at our Global HQ office in Columbus, Ohio.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage Vertiv's Global Insurance program - role entails work closely with analyst, broker, internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to proactively mitigate risks and continually finding ways to further streamline and strengthen existing processes
  • Lead with contract review process for insurance and provide guidance to the business as subject matter expert
  • Oversee global certificates of insurance issuance process
  • Manage annual renewal process for lines of insurance. Oversee process for collecting and analyzing underwriting data, and lead broker and internal stakeholders to renew coverage
  • Lead claims management process
  • Prepare insurance budget and provide periodic updates to finance throughout the year
  • Support due diligence for M&A activities. Build on existing processes for integrating acquisitions or divestitures

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Undergraduate degree
  • 10 years experience in risk management, insurance and/or brokerage fields in progressively more responsible positions
  • Solid analytical, and communication skills are critical
  • Demonstrated success and proven ability to multi-task, adhere to strict guidelines, work well with others, and complete tasks with discretion, accuracy and attention to detail in a fast paced and demanding work environment
  • Strong business partnering skills
