PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT
Responsible for sales of all seeds
, within an assigned territory, working closely with the
Sales Manager and Sales Specialists for the purposes of selling to customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Conducts seed sales calls with targeted CEA customers and assists crops specialists with key account calls

Implements company goals and objectives that will grow the CEA seed business and develop profitable relationships with customers

Assists with and implements seed sales strategies that generate profitable sales that achieve set goals

Participates in selected sales activities, i.e.

customer meetings, trade shows, in-person sales visits, & sales meeting to keep abreast of sales trends and the CEA market environment.

Collaborate with breeders, product manager team, and marketing to identify new vegetable seed opportunities, analyze market trends, and craft compelling sales tools that showcase the benefits of your seed offerings

Oversee trials for new and existing vegetable seed varieties across diverse regions, analyzing data to inform sales strategies and product recommendations, while managing seed sample allocation, distribution, and records for trials, demonstrations, and potential customers

Creates and manages a proposal for CEA customers by providing value-added seed products, services, and recommendations on a frequent basis

Expedites the resolution of customer problems and complaints

Keeps accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities as well as maintaining competitive analysis for all key competitors.

Maintains a current knowledge of product applications, technical services, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends

Quotes prices, and prepares sales contracts for orders obtained and promotes the use of credit programs as a sales tool and helps provide the required information to establish credit

Works with Microsoft Office products and other proprietary software to enhance business processes and maximize efficiency

OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
Maintains industry and university contacts to keep informed on developing trends and product introductions in assigned product areas

Creates and participates in presentations during customer meetings and trades shows as required

Maintains the assigned vehicle according to company standards

Follows GROWMARK's Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply

Performs all other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
Normally requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in agriculture, marketing, or other related discipline and a minimum of 4 years seed selling experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience to demonstrate
strong reasoning ability to solve practical problems and handle customer and/or operational issues

Demonstrated GROWMARK core competencies including business knowledge, collaboration, communication, customer focus, decision making, and skill development

Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

Must be able to travel independently and overnight

Must be willing to work hours beyond those considered "normal"

Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on GROWMARK's policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position
