This role will be laser focused on end-end-end marketing strategy and execution for select territories in the US and Canada - from developing positioning and conducting win-loss and competitive analysis, to extending messaging and differentiation through email campaigns, trade shows, in-person events, webinars, and more. This role will report directly to the Associate Director of Marketing.

The role will be focused on optimizing customer acquisition, helping our sales team differentiate from the competition, and increasing our overall win rate and enrolled customers. This position requires wearing two hats - the ideal candidate is able to take complex technical concepts and transform them into simple, impactful narratives. They will then execute campaigns across digital and in-person channels.

The ideal candidate is super action-oriented, has a go-getter mindset, be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be highly organized and communicative/collaborative on projects. The successful candidate will epitomize Voltus's core values of Bright, Gritty, and Good and will have a deep desire to be successful in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Sales and Energy Markets to achieve Voltus's annual sales goals by 1) optimizing Voltus's sales messaging and 2) executing campaigns.

Sales Messaging

Build a deep understanding of your assigned territories - the programs, competitors, industries of focus, customers, macro-trends, and etc. Help bolster and differentiate Voltus's programs, services, expertise, and technology through RFPs and pitchesSupport Energy Markets in the launch of select new programs to ensure smooth and impactful launchesAnalyze closed and lost deals to find areas of opportunity and improvementMaintain existing competitive intelligence documentation and communicate new insights to the Sales, Energy Markets, and Product teams

Campaigns & Sales Enablement

Jointly own, create, and execute on a marketing calendar with Associate Director of Marketing Manage prospecting and upsell email marketing campaigns to meet enrollment deadlines and opportunistic campaigns based on program news, current events, and grid conditionsHost industry and topical webinars, along with assisting with in-person events Project manage PR agency in submitting abstracts for speaking engagementsExecute presence at trade shows Manage region-specific industry association relationships to extract the most value Measure and report on marketing campaign effectivenessKeep marketing collateral up to date and develop new assets as needed

Requirements

  • A passion for combating the climate crisis
  • Expert writer and storyteller; able to bring concepts to life through word and visual
  • Technically minded, with the ability to distill complex technology and energy markets info into digestible concepts for prospective customers
  • Top-notch communication with colleagues - in person, written, and presentations
  • Knowledge of Hubspot and Salesforce is a must
  • A driver mentality - pushes projects and initiatives to completion while meeting deadlines
  • Confident - able to engage with customers and executives without overthinking
  • Knowledge of Zoom and Webflow is a plus
