Healthcare Visitor Specialist

This position will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment within the hospital premises. We are looking for an employee who demonstrates excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism.They will be responsible for a fixed post or patrolling an assigned area to preserve peace and order, to provide excellent customer service, protect persons and property, and perform duties relating to the welfare and safety of the employees, patients, visitors, and property. This position has varying shifts available between Night Shifts and Day Shifts

salary: $16 - $19 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 8 AM - 5 PM
education: High School

Responsibilities
  • Greet and screen every visitor – Ask for identification (ID) of each visitor & to state their reason for being there
  • Obtain the ID and scan into the system
  • Generate the temporary ID badge and explain that by policy, it must worn at all times inside the hospital
  • Inform the visitors that when they leave, they should check out and
    relinquish their temporary IDs
  • Assist when team members accompany visitors without badges back to the entrance to complete proper check-in
  • The primary point of contact as visitor management. Ensures all visitors are appropriately checked in per policy and procedure
  • Provide a visible deterrence to crime, prohibited activities, or suspicious activities in public and non-public areas
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with facility staff members
  • Maintain a thorough knowledge of a facility and where applicable of multiple facilities
  • Communicate effectively with diverse people including clients or their representatives, client employees, visitors, or client vendors
