Job Description:

Security Guard

Responsibilities:

  • Provide security for students, staff and visitors at Turner Theological Seminary
  • Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises
  • Operate and monitor CCTV systems to detect and prevent unauthorized activities
  • Conduct regular inspections of the premises to identify potential security risks or breaches
  • Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, and incidents, and take appropriate action
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting students and visitors and addressing their inquiries or concerns
  • Enforce access control procedures, including verifying identification and issuing visitor passes
  • Collaborate with local law enforcement agencies when necessary
  • Complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of securityrelated activities
Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a security guard or in a related field preferred
  • Knowledge of security operations and procedures
  • Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security equipment
  • Strong observation, communication, and problemsolving skills
  • Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations
  • Physical fitness and ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods of time
  • Excellent customer service skills Note:
Loss prevention experience is a plus but not required.
