Position Overview

As a Security Guard, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our premises. Your responsibilities will include monitoring the entrance and exit of individuals, safeguarding against theft, and maintaining a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the entry and exit of employees, visitors, and other individuals to prevent theft and ensure the security of the premises.
  • Alert individuals of any rule infractions or violations.
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances promptly.
  • Patrol the premises to maintain order and protect property.
  • Contact emergency services in case of incidents such as fire or unauthorized presence.
  • Utilize detection devices to screen individuals and prevent the entry of prohibited items into restricted areas.
  • Handle telephone inquiries and provide information during non-business hours.
  • Report any irregularities, including property damage or unusual occurrences, to the supervisor.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a High School Diploma or equivalent, along with one to two years of relevant experience in security, law enforcement, or military service.

Additional requirements include:

  • A valid state driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Completion of the Certified Protection Officer (CPO) course within 24 months of employment.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, to effectively interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of public security practices and applicable safety regulations.
  • Successful completion of an annual physical fitness exam and CPR/First Aid certification every two years.
  • Ability to pass a Federal Aviation Administration background check.
  • Completion of annual taser training and Use of Force Training.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between $31,200 and $60,000, depending on various factors such as education, experience, and geographic location.
