POSITION SUMMARY:

The Security Guard role is essential for safeguarding personnel, assets, and interests across the Company's operations. This position utilizes armed security measures, screenings, advanced security monitoring, and response strategies.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Preferred candidates will have a bachelor's or associate degree, or an equivalent mix of education, training, and experience.

Certification in industry-standard business practices is required.

Availability for shift work, holidays, overtime, and inclement weather is necessary.

A minimum of three years in law enforcement, military, or private security is preferred.

Successful completion of psychological assessments, drug screenings, and firearms evaluations is required.

Annual re-qualification with issued firearms is mandatory.

Must possess a valid state firearm permit and driver's license.

Ability to maintain appropriate licensing through the relevant state board is essential.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Familiarity with Software House CCURE and Avigilon Video Management System (VMS) is advantageous.

Understanding of NERC security standards is beneficial.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and various computer systems is necessary.

Ability to operate independently while adhering to company policies and procedures.

Capability to respond to complex inquiries regarding access systems.

Coordination with Operating Company and Corporate Security teams is essential.

Ability to assess and respond to security perimeter intrusion events.

Strong problem-solving skills and logical reasoning are required.

Ability to manage stressful situations and multitask effectively.

Commitment to continuous learning and ethical conduct is expected.

Physical fitness to perform tasks such as running, walking, and lifting is necessary.

Additional Requirements:

This role requires the use of a company vehicle. Candidates must have:
  • A minimum of one year of verifiable driving experience with a valid driver's license.
  • No major traffic violations within the last 36 months.
  • Consent to ongoing monitoring of driving records.
