MAJOR DUTIES:
Complete psychosocial assessments and diagnostic interviews to assess trauma symptoms and PTSD.
Use social work clinical training, insight, and experience to interpret data to identify treatment options.

Implement treatment modalities, provide skill-based and evidenced-based psychotherapies in group and individual therapy for veterans and their families in the Trauma Recovery Services team, and as needed, the Behavioral Health Interdisciplinary Program (BHIP) teams.

Possess a working knowledge and experience in the use of medical and mental health diagnoses, disabilities, and treatment procedures, including acute, chronic, trauma and PTSD, common medications and their effects/side effects, and medical terminology.

Contribute to program development, consultation, and treatment planning with an interdisciplinary treatment team.

Establish and maintain effective therapeutic relationships with veterans in Trauma Recovery Services, BHIP teams, and Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs).

Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with people from varied backgrounds.

Serve as a liaison and consultant for veterans and their families regarding community resources, VA benefits, VA specialty programs, and advanced directives.

Work Schedule:
M-F, 8-4:30; On-call weekend rotation

Pay:


Competitive salary and regular salary increases When setting pay, a higher step rate of the appropriate grade may be determined after consideration of existing pay, higher or unique qualifications, or special needs of the VA (Above Minimum Rate of the Grade).


Paid Time Off:
37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)

Parental Leave:
