Why SENTINEL? There is never a dull moment on this strategic effort, a cornerstone for the nation's security The Sentinel Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Program will completely replace the aging Minuteman III (MMIII) ICBM, an undertaking not performed in over 50 years. This program is considered a "mega-project" and one of the most complex in the history of the Department of Defense. The new ICBM weapon system acquisition effort brings with it the newest digital engineering tools and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices to meet existing warfighter requirements, while having the adaptability and flexibility to affordably address changing technology and threat environments through 2075. As part of the U.S. Air Force's Integration Support Contract (ISC), BAE Systems provides advisory and assistance services in the areas of engineering, logistics, management, scientific analysis, and other subject matter expertise to augment and optimize management of the Sentinel ICBM Prime Contractor.

Tell me about this job. BAE is looking for an experienced program manager accountable to the Product Support Division lead for all tasks assigned for Sentinel Product Support Materiel Management Branch. Candidate will serve as an Acquisition Program Manager and work with a highly skilled team providing mission-critical supply chain acquisition project management, reporting, and program integration functions on behalf of the Sentinel System Program Office. Candidate will serve as an materiel management acquisition subject matter expert, key program advisor, and a focal point for the assessment and reporting of Sentinel program status, including technical performance, contract performance, enterprise integrated master schedule health, and risks, issues, and opportunities. Candidate will operate in an organizational culture that develops and challenges employees to achieve high performance in a fast-paced, high-morale workplace using streamlined management policies and procedures. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to shape the development and deployment of the next generation intercontinental ballistic missile—the national security critical backbone of our nuclear deterrent capability. Required Education, Experience, & Skills Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in project/program management (8 years with advanced degree)Experience on an Acquisition Category (ACAT) I level program or similarDemonstrated comfort and capabilities working under stressful conditions, aggressive schedules, variable workloads, and shifting prioritiesRisk management experience; demonstrated management experience evaluating and mitigating risk at the program or enterprise levelPossesses excellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in managing program cost, schedule, and/or performanceExperience directly leading diverse teamsMust have a current Secret security clearance or higher (adjudicated within the past 6 years) and be eligible to obtain and maintain all required Special Program accessesPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills Experience at a System Program Office (or higher-level staff) executing/overseeing program(s) in the Engineering and Manufacturing Development (EMD) or similar acquisition program phaseUnderstanding of integration across multiple areas of an ACAT I level programBackground and understanding of Air Force supply chain/materiel management policy, processes and organizationsExceptional customer engagement, writing, and communication skillsExperience creating presentation content for executive level meetings and conducting senior level meetingsStrategic thinker and innovator with continuous improvement mindsetICBM weapon system and/or program support experiencePay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $ $195660

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
