Our Financial Services Client is hiring a Search Engine Marketing Specialist at our Tysons, Virginia location. The primary purpose of this job is to manage the search engine-marketing channel for the credit union across multiple product verticals. The Search Engine Marketing Specialist will manage all paid search campaigns on Google, Yahoo, and Bing, as well as other search and display marketing engines. This role will effectively manage the paid search budget and work with the digital team leads to ensure we have a cohesive strategy across all digital touchpoints.

• Lead the implementation of strategy, ad copy, testing, collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns.


• Create new campaigns and solutions based on competitive insight, trends or data to ensure there is a solid digital strategy.


• Oversee SEM team-members in campaign creation and management.


• Research and analyze competitor advertising links, utilize SEO latest trends and ensures site is equipped to grow organic traffic.


• Lead tracking, reporting and analyzing website analytics, pay-per-click (PPC) initiatives and campaigns.


• Manage campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies.


• Execute tests, collect and analyze data, identify trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns.


• Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine marketing campaigns.


• Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization and trains junior team members.


• Collaborate with the product analytics team members to understand product KPIs and develop, execute, and report on marketing performance to align with these goals.


• Additionally, this position will manage and evolve the extension of audience and digital strategic and technical initiatives into the search investment with oversight from the Digital Lead


• Mentor other digital team members on how Search will impact overall campaign efforts and maximize ROI, drive traffic and generate quality leads.


• Expand and learn new digital channel trends to widen the knowledge of paid search and SEO efforts and develop a sound knowledge of all digital channels


• This role is responsible for ensuring business continuity.*

Qualifications

Equivalent combination of education and experience is considered

• BS/MS degree in Marketing or a quantitative, test-driven field


• Minimum 5 years' experience managing SEM campaigns


• Proven SEM experience and success managing PPC campaigns across Google AdWords and Bing


• Well-versed in performance marketing, conversion, and online customer acquisition


• Up to date with the latest trends and best practices in search engine marketing


• In-depth experience with bid management tools (e.g., Click Equations, Marin, Kenshoo, Search Ignite, Adobe Media Optimizer)


• Experience with YouTube Advertising


• Experience with website analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Omniture, Web Trends)


• Experience building audiences either online or offline is required. Experience in the financial space is preferred but not required.


• Strong analytical skills and experience generating SEM reports


• Experience with Adobe Analytics/Google Analytics is preferred but not required


• Familiarity with A/B and multivariate experiments


• Facilitate A/B testing to ensure optimization, targeting and marketing goals align with business objectives


• Stay current on latest trends, technologies, practices, and methods to continually seek innovative approaches to challenges and deepen engagement with audiences


• Other duties as assigned within department

Licenses and Certifications


• Google Ads Certification preferred


• Microsoft Ads Certification preferred


• Google Analytics 4 (GA4) Certification preferred
