Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Accounting Manager, the Senior Accounting Specialist will be a vital contributor to our accounting operations. This role offers an excellent opportunity to refine your accounting expertise while gaining a broader perspective on financial practices.

  • Execute and submit designated manual journal entries, ensuring adherence to GAAP standards.
  • Manage and update fixed asset records and associated depreciation schedules.
  • Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, promptly investigating and resolving any discrepancies.
  • Assist in the monthly and year-end closing processes.
  • Support both external and internal audit inquiries and requests.
  • Facilitate the implementation and testing of internal controls, recommending solutions for identified issues.
  • Contribute to the preparation of monthly financial reports and quarterly board presentations.
  • Lead initiatives for process enhancements where applicable.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and analytical support as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Strong analytical abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Technologically adept, with a proven ability to quickly learn new systems and processes; experience with Sage Intacct and/or Adaptive Insights is advantageous.
  • Flexible and capable of meeting deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Effective in both collaborative team settings and independent work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Educational Background and Experience

A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a closely related discipline is required, along with:

  • 2-5 years of progressive experience in accounting.
Work Environment

This position requires in-office attendance for 2-3 days each week.

Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $75,000 – $95,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience. Nodal Exchange also offers a comprehensive benefits package, which may include performance bonuses.
