This is a technical position in the Information Technology department. This position will provide escalated tier 2 and tier 3 desktop, network, and server support.

All of the following duties require accuracy, safety, positive customer and team interactions, critical thinking, and adherence to protocol, policies, and procedures at all times.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for troubleshooting and repairing tier 2 and tier 3 technical issues with desktop, network, and server hardware and software.
  • Responsible for working with desktop, network, and server support to create and execute corrective action plans for issue remediation.
  • Ensures accuracy of inventory information and makes modifications as necessary.
  • Responsible for maintaining a database of support information and issue resolutions for other departmental employees.
  • Responsible for teaching other support staff newly discovered ideas and methods of problem resolution.
  • Ensures that network cabling infrastructure meets TIA/EIA 568B standards.
  • Communicates in writing, in person, and through electronic means concisely and positively.
  • Takes initiative to multi task with accuracy.
  • Communicates and solves problems appropriately.
  • Exhibits and maintains a positive attitude while working independently and in a team setting.
  • Anticipates needs and prepares accordingly.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Troubleshoot desktop, network, and server hardware and software using well defined and repeatable methods
  • Uses Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint at an expert level
  • Demonstrates Information Technology asset management techniques
  • Writes in a concise and organized manner
  • Speaks clearly and coherently
  • Can lift 50 pounds safely
  • Can crawl under desks as needed
  • Can climb a ladder safely

Qualifications:

  • Must have and maintain a valid driver license
  • Experience installing and configuring laptop and desktop computer hardware and software components
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting computer peripheral devices (mouse, keyboard, printer, )
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite Applications
  • Experience with Information Technology trouble ticket assignment, tracking and resolution software
  • Experience with Information Technology asset inventory software
