The Specialist should possess a strong technical background and the ability to thrive in dynamic construction settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Review and modify project schematics, ensuring adherence to specifications.
- Maintain an organized inventory of personal and company tools necessary for installations.
- Record and manage serial numbers for all equipment installed.
- Act as the primary point of contact between clients, internal teams, and other contractors.
- Provide daily updates and reports to the Project Manager, ensuring consistent communication.
- Complete quality control checklists prior to project handover and submit to the Project Manager.
- Oversee project materials and hardware inventory to facilitate timely completion.
- Set up, calibrate, and test all installed equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Assist in the commissioning process alongside Engineers, Project Managers, and Programmers.
- Troubleshoot issues related to audio-visual system wiring and components.
- Conduct service calls independently as required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Strong time management capabilities.
- Proficient in diagnosing audio-visual system issues.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to pass background checks as required.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Completion of technical training or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity with basic computer networking and setup (e.g., configuring IP addresses).
- Experience with mounting and constructing support structures (preferred).
Experience and Education
- A minimum of 3 years in commercial audio-visual installation or a related field.
- Certification as a Technology Specialist is preferred.
