We are seeking a motivated and customer-oriented Salesforce Developer to join our team in the Baltimore-Washington Metro area in support of our federal customer. An ideal candidate will work with agile teams in a complex enterprise software development environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • The Salesforce Developer is responsible for developing software and must be proficient in Salesforce development technologies such as Apex, Visualforce, Lightning, Lightning Web Components or similar experience with Java/JEE, PHP and frameworks such as React, Angular or Bootstrap.
  • The individual is responsible for writing unit test cases to validate the code against unit tests, security tests, and profiling tools.
  • Designs and implements low-latency, high-availability and high-performance applications, that adhere to security and data protection requirements.
  • Facilitates and leads troubleshooting activities and possess excellent debugging skills with backend micro services and cross browser compatibility issues.
  • Prepares documentation covering code, errors, and recovery procedures.
  • The individual will participate in the full SDLC or Agile methodologies.

Work Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience with Salesforce Apex is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience with using IDEs such as VSCode or IntelliJ and source control tools such as GitHub.
  • 3 years of experience in Java/JEE development preferred.
  • Experience in responsive design concepts to implement mobile friendly solutions.
  • Working knowledge in AWS Cloud implementing highly secure, scalable and standards-based solutions.
  • Proven experience in agile development methodologies Scrum/Kanban and experience with Jira to manage the agile sprints and backlog.
  • Experience with continuous delivery and integration tools: Jenkins, Nexus, Artifactory.
  • Experience with build/SCM tools: Maven, Gradle, NPM.

Job Skills:

  • Knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript and CSS.
  • Solid software development skills and fundamentals such as knowledge of data structures, object-oriented programming, relational database design, and design patterns.
  • Facilitates and leads troubleshooting activities and possesses excellent debugging skills with backend micro services and related issues.
  • Knowledge of frameworks such as React, Angular or Bootstrap are a plus

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field required.

Certificates, Licenses and Registrations:

  • Salesforce Platform Developer certification(s) preferred

Communication Skills:

  • Solid ability to interface, inspire and motivate at various levels of the organization.
  • Ability to convey technical information to non-technical individuals.
  • Demonstrated written and oral skills to communicate with external and internal stakeholders effectively

  • N/A

Environmental Requirements:

  • Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
  • May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds
