A Commercial Contracts Manager will oversee our commercial contract process and manage the legal aspects of business operations, ensuring compliance and mitigating legal risks, while fostering relationships with clients and partners. The ideal candidate will have in-depth experience in owning the contract management process for a global Saas organisation and will possess an in-depth understanding of legal frameworks, negotiation strategies and commercial terms.

Core Role Responsibilities:-

  • Commercial Contract Management: Draft, review, negotiate, and execute a high volume of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, subscription agreements, licensing agreements, and partnership agreements.
  • Legal Compliance: Ensure all commercial contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, including data privacy laws, intellectual property rights, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify and assess potential legal and commercial risks associated with commercial contracts, providing strategic guidance to mitigate and manage risks effectively.
  • Client and Partner Relationships: Collaborate closely with clients and partners to negotiate favourable commercial terms, resolve contractual disputes, and maintain positive relationships.
  • Contract Administration: Maintain accurate records of all commercial contracts, including key terms, renewal dates, and obligations, using contract management software.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with various departments, including sales, finance, and legal, to facilitate contract negotiations and address contractual issues promptly.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and enhance commercial contract management processes to optimise efficiency, scalability, and compliance.

Skills and Experience:-

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years experience in commercial contract management within the SaaS industry, with a focus on managing high volumes of commercial contracts.
  • Strong understanding of commercial contract law, legal terminology, and negotiation strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients and partners.
  • Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Analytical and detail-orientated
