This position will be responsible for all aspects of the MRP, CNC, and other machine programming, production workflow through the plant, and purchasing. Knowledge of the cabinetry or furniture business is mandatory.

Responsibilities

Direct the flow of work from the order process through the production process

Generate accurate bills of materials for each cabinet

Determine per request how (or if) customizations can be manufactured

Oversee others who are involved in this process and insert them into the roles that are most fitting to their skills and the company's needs

Advise customer service and manufacturing teams on projects

Optimize the flow of work through the plant

Generate bill of materials for new products in accordance to customer requisitions and process capabilities.

Design programs for new and/or modified products using CutRite.

Create and maintain Item Code list, create assemblies and programs and add to SQL Server database.

Determine shop production schedule based on lead time, capacity, finish color, shipping region, complexity and materials on hand.

Perform material distribution (Nesting) for all orders according to production schedule.

Qualifications

Capabilities with office tools, especially Excel. This includes the ability to perform formulaic functions.

Familiarity with CAD design that includes the ability to use CAD to help proof designs, use multiple types of CAD interfaces, be able to write macros to automate machine prompt generation, and the ability to manage links and files in a comprehensible manner

Knowledgeable with CAM generation on both the office side and the machine side, as well as the ability to check machine code to look for issues

Familiarity with CNC machines, not necessarily to the point of being able to be an operator, but at least to be able to diagnose machine-side CAM and mechanical issues

Familiarity with SQL and Crystal Reports in order to interact with our current order processing system

Familiarity with the construction of factory-assembled cabinetry or the equivalent
