About the Department

You will be joining Fill & Finish Expansions (FFEx), which is responsible for all major expansion activities within aseptic production, solid dosage forms, finished products, fill & finish warehousing, and QC across all production areas in Product Supply. The area is anchored in Product Supply, Quality & IT, which globally employ approx. 20,000 of Novo Nordisk's 50,000 employees.

FFEx is a newly established and growing area with the responsibility to design, plan, and build all new aseptic filling capacity across Novo Nordisk to serve the needs of millions of patients. We do it by rethinking our production facilities with the use of modern technology, as we are setting the standards for the aseptic production of the future. Facilities designed today which we will still be proud of 20 years from now. FF Expansions has a global approach, where you will be working with multiple sites and cultures across the world.

The Position

Manages & oversees the Reliability Engineering team at lalrge greenfield site. Develops plans to continuously improve maintenance & reliability processes. Strategic leader of site's proactive maintenance & reliability program. Provides direction, coaching/mentoring & support as well as leadership & guidance to direct reports. Establishes & maintains positive working relationships with internal & external engineering teams & stakeholders & manages vendor & service contracts. Act as content owner for related procedures.

Essential Functions

Manage team, to include interviewing/hiring talent, providing coaching, mentoring, career development guidance & performance management addressing performance/behavioral & related disciplinary action. Lead by exampleLead the development of and establishment of the Utilities Reliability program for greenfield facilityLead the development of and establishment of the Maintenance Planning program for greenfield facilityServe as lead subject matter expert over Reliability & Asset Management programsDevelop training program for Reliability & Maintenance Planning teams and ensure all mandatory training requirements for the team are metDevelop & maintain SOPs & ensure all documentation meets GMP requirementsConduct equipment assessments using asset criticality, FMECA & RCM to support the Reliability program developmentContinuously improve reliability processes & drive alignment & standardization across the siteContinuously improve equipment downtime and drive PM Effectiveness & Efficiency across the siteLead asset classification. Develop cost effective maintenance plans & spare parts stocking strategies to support 24/7 OperationsCreate metrics to visualize maintenance performance for stakeholdersEstablish, maintain & optimize Asset Management / Reliability master data within SAPProvide input to site Risk Management PlanPerform Asset Analysis, Failure Analysis & Reporting, and develop engineering solutions for repetitive failuresDrive continuous process improvements using cLEAN or Six Sigma toolsFollow all safety & environmental requirements in the performance of dutiesOther duties as assigned Physical Requirements Ability to work in an open office environment with the possibility of frequent distraction. Ability to travel up to 10% of the time. (% can change on a case-by-case basis based on the role.). Development of People Supervisory. Ensure that reporting personnel have individual development plans (IDP), with annual goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process. Ensure that the IDP forms include completed learning and aspiration plans and are in place for all reporting personnel to enable the achievement of goals and capability to assume increased levels of responsibility. Manage the application and communication of all Novo Nordisk policies, procedures, and Novo Nordisk Way. QualificationsBachelor's degree in technical field from an accredited university requiredMay consider an Associate's degree in technical field from an accredited university with seven (7) years of experience in engineering field with a focus in instrument calibration, reliability or maintenance excellence required May consider a High School Diploma/GED with nine (9) years of experience in engineering field with a focus in instrument calibration, reliability or maintenance excellence required Maintenance & Reliability / Asset Management Accreditation l (CMRP, CRL, AMP) or equivalent preferred Reliability & PdM training/certifications in at least one of the following: Vibration Analysis, Dynamic / Static Motor Testing, Infrared Thermography, Ultrasound, Laser Alignment, or Lubrication Analysis preferred Maintenance Planning training/certifications preferred Minimum of five (5) years in engineering field with a focus in instrument calibration, reliability, maintenance planning, or maintenance excellence required Minimum of three (3) years of direct supervisory experience required Ability to read, write & understand P&IDs & standard operating procedures with attention to detail required Knowledgeable with Pharmaceutical / Chemical processing equipment & instrumentation preferred Knowledge of Asset Management concepts such as: FMEA, RCM, PdM, CbM, Preventive Maintenance, OEE, Reliability by Design, PM optimization, Root Cause Analysis, Failure Analysis, or MRO Inventory Best Practices preferred Excellent computer skills: technical skills with CMMS preferred.
