What is the opportunity?
We are seeking an experienced Investment Banking Vice President to join our team in the Insurance and/or Asset & Wealth Management sector within our Financial Institutions Group (FIG).
What will you do?
- Execute transactions, business presentations, and client meetings
- Collaborate with Associates and Analysts on pitch books and client materials
- Cultivate client relationships, identify new business opportunities, and oversee transaction execution
- Coordinate with various groups to explore and develop new business prospects
- Enhance RBC's presence in the designated area and support other areas as needed
- Pursue investment banking opportunities aligning with set budgets and plans
- Proactively identify and address operational risks and control deficiencies
- Ensure compliance with Firm Policies relevant to your activities
- Report operational risks and deficiencies to the appropriate functions in a timely manner
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor's degree and MBA, MA, or MS with a focus on finance or accounting
- Minimum 5 years of Investment Banking experience, including at least 3 years in FIG
- Solid grasp of capital markets and spreadsheet modeling
- Excellent analytical skills, knowledge of finance and accounting
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- High ethical standards, ability to represent RBC professionally
- Hold FINRA Series 79 and Series 63 licenses

The expected salary range for this position is $275,000, dependent on various factors including experience, skills, and market conditions. This range excludes bonuses and benefits such as a 401(k) program, insurance, and paid time-off.
