The ideal candidate will have a robust background in investment banking, showcasing expertise in capital structure advisory (both debt and equity financing), strategic advisory (including sell-side and buy-side transactions), and specialized financial analysis within the industry. Experience with biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or medical technology firms is essential. In this role, you will be a vital contributor in client interactions and presentations, collaborating closely with senior bankers at Citizens while engaging in the origination and execution of debt, equity, and M&A transactions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead transaction execution efforts, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, follow-on public offerings, and other equity capital market activities, as well as debt capital market offerings within the Life Sciences domain.
- Generate relevant and actionable strategic and financing concepts, develop thematic pitch materials, and analyze industry trends to enhance presentations for current and prospective clients.
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with key decision-makers at the executive level within middle-market and growth companies, venture capitalists, and financial sponsors.
- Prepare and deliver marketing materials for financing and M&A clients, acting as a central figure in all phases of transaction execution with clients and counterparties.
- Participate in and support industry conferences to enhance knowledge, forge new relationships, and maintain existing client connections.
- Oversee financial modeling and due diligence processes that facilitate informed decision-making.
- Mentor and guide analysts and associates in their professional development.
- Collaborate on cross-selling initiatives with Citizens Commercial Bankers.
- A minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in investment banking and/or capital markets.
- Preferred expertise in the biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, or medical technology sectors.
- Demonstrated experience in capital markets and M&A, with strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution; a master's degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Possession of Series 79 and 63 licenses.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities.
- Proven ability to manage projects independently and take on significant responsibilities.
- Standard work hours: 40+ per week.
- Typical workdays: Monday to Friday.
The salary range for this role is $200,000 - $250,000 annually, with the potential for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors, including work location and relevant skills and experience.
