What you'll do:
In this role you'll specialize in onboarding and continued learning experiences at SAP, you will lead the UX design strategy and execution across all aspects of user engagement. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and create intuitive and user-centric onboarding experiences that set a high standard for user engagement and satisfaction. Your role extends to crafting and refining the UX strategy for educational content, ensuring consistency and clarity in all learning materials. Leveraging your expertise in UX/UI design principles, interaction design, and user-centered design, you will elevate the usability and accessibility of our products' learning journeys, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable user experience.

You bring extensive experience in UX/UI design, you possess a robust portfolio demonstrating your proficiency in creating impactful and user-friendly interfaces. Your deep understanding of design principles allows you to translate complex concepts into intuitive and engaging designs that enhance user comprehension and interaction. Strong leadership skills enable you to mentor and inspire junior designers, driving excellence in UX design within the team and organization. You excel in collaborating with stakeholders to understand user needs and business objectives, translating them into innovative and effective UX solutions. Your attention to detail ensures that every interaction aligns with usability standards and enhances the overall user experience.
Expectations and tasks
- Define and lead the UX design strategies for onboarding and learning experiences, ensuring alignment with product goals and user needs
- Create high-fidelity designs, prototypes, and design systems that enhance the usability and accessibility of onboarding flows and educational content
- Partner closely with product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to generate innovative and user-centric product experience concepts
- Collaborate closely with UX designers, product managers, content strategists, and developers to integrate visual design seamlessly into product experiences
- Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure the highest quality of visual execution across all projects
- Continuously research and stay up-to-date on the latest UX design trends and technologies, influencing the future of user experience
- Champion design best practices and establish new patterns that can be contributed back to a design system that ensures consistency and scalability across our product suite
- Present design concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to design leadership and executives, fostering collaboration and buy-in
- Mentor and collaborate with junior designers and cross teams, fostering a strong design culture
About you
- 10+ years of experience in design, with a strong focus of UI design
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team of designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
- Experience designing for a variety of user experiences including first-use or guided tours, demonstrating versatility and adaptability
- Strong understanding of UX/UI design principles, user-centered design, and interaction design
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high standards of creativity and attention to detail
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Mural, After Effects, Pendo or WalkMe onboarding tools a plus)
- A passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of design and elevate experiences to a new level

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity. SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process. Any SAP variable incentive includes a targeted dollar amount and any actual payout amount is dependent on company and personal performance.
