Position overview

Finance & Strategy is seeking a Senior Consolidations and Reporting Analyst to support the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidations procedures. This position is reporting to the Consolidations and Reporting Manager .

Position Description


• Monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidations procedures in accordance with US GAAP:

o Provide accounting, close, and reporting assistance to CWT subsidiaries

o Monitor and record topside journal entries, including late adjustments, consolidation entries, differences in accounting standards, and purchase accounting

o Maintain and close US holding company ledgers

o Reconcile US holding company accounts including long-term debt accounts

o Monitor and control the inter-company elimination process

o Review reporting packages provided by CWT subsidiaries

o Prepare select monthly reports for Global Finance (CFO, Corporate Controller, Corporate FP&A, Finance Business Partners...)

o Analyze variances and inquire further with stakeholders, providing explanations or solutions

o Prepare quarterly detail for inter-company reconciliations and entries

o Prepare annual detail for inter-company true-up accounting


• Coordinate with the global auditors for the completion of the annual consolidated financial statement audit


• Lead ad hoc assistance to Global Finance, Treasury and Tax teams


• Participate in the overall management of global financial systems


• Lead various projects as arise within the team

Qualifications

Position Requirements

Experience & education:


Experience

o 3-5 years of experience in accounting, internal/external reporting, or external audit

o Prior experience from Big 4 or multinational companies with exposure to consolidations preferred

o Understanding of US GAAP, specifically consolidation (eliminations, CTA)

o Prior experience with multi-GAAP environment (IFRS, other local GAAP) and multinational multi-entity consolidations a plus


Education

o Bachelor's degree in in Accounting or Finance, CPA preferred


Languages

o Solid oral and written English language skills - other languages a plus


Knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs)

o Interest in technical accounting

o Analytical problem solver

o Strong understanding of finance system structures

o Experience with HFM or another consolidation tool preferred

o Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including advanced Excel functionality

o Ability to work independently and on a team

o Ability to communicate in an English-based multicultural environment

o Ability to work with various countries remotely

o Travel & Hospitality industry knowledge will be a plus
