About the Role

Ryan Companies, a leading construction company, is seeking a highly experienced Director of Scheduling and Operations to join our team. This key position will play a critical role in supporting construction operations by providing the necessary tools, training, and support to promote best-in-class scheduling performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development: Provide consistent training to regional schedulers and field teams on the use of scheduling tools, aligning with Ryan's scheduling standard practices (Fundamentals, Ryan Process, software).
  • Resource Development: Develop and deploy construction project scheduling and planning resources across all offices and projects.
  • Scheduling Trends and Analysis: Monitor scheduling trends across the Ryan project portfolio and develop action plans as needed to improve project schedule performance.
  • National Operations Schedule Data Analytics: Provide guidance and develop a national operations schedule data analytics strategy.
  • Scheduling Engineer Support: Assist with the hiring and onboarding of Scheduling Engineers.
  • Project Support: Assist project teams and regions with monitoring and interpreting schedule health dashboards and performance reports.
  • Continuous Improvement: Capture and analyze completed project schedule data to assist the Data Analytics team in fostering an environment of continuous improvement.
  • Resource and Guidance: Act as a resource to project construction teams and Sr. construction leadership.
  • Special Projects: Work on special projects pertaining to the overall Scheduling Operations.
  • Industry Knowledge: Remain current with new developments in the construction industry as they pertain to scheduling and communicate them to team members.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 15 years of experience within the construction industry.
  • At least 10 years of experience planning and scheduling construction projects.
  • Expert proficiency in scheduling software (P6 & MS Project).
  • Familiarity with the DCMA 14-point schedule health assessment and understanding of Lead Construction methodologies.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of 4D scheduling software.
  • Knowledge of industrial, healthcare, food & beverage, mission critical, or advanced manufacturing scheduling.
