Location/Division Specific InformationThis is a remote position with proximity to a Thermo Fisher BPG site preferred. BPG site locations include Grand Island, NY; Millersburg, PA; Logan, UT; Nashville, TN; Miami, Fl; Bedford/Chelmsford, MA; Detroit, MI; Greenville, NC.
Discover Impactful Work:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Supply Chain Specialist to join our supply chain master data team. This role will evaluate, prioritize business initiatives and related master data requirements, developing & implementing projects to improve the quality and management of business-critical data. Through cross-functional partnerships, install operating mechanisms, drive productivity and enhance master data quality.
A Day in the Life:- Independently lead multifunctional, high impact master data projects spanning order intake to order fulfillment aligned with strategic goals and objectives. Assess health of current data through data quality assessments and identify improvement initiatives.
- Partner with master data & business unit leadership to prioritize & resource data projects aligned with key business priorities. Implement improvement initiatives using project management principles delivering projects to schedule.
- Communicate progress to leadership through status reporting. Remove barriers to execution.
- Implement data governance for your assigned business units, collaborating with data owners on data gathering, auditing & analysis.
- Drive standardization of data through creation, publication and training of data standards.
- Partner with support teams including data analytics, data management and data governance to build tools, apply their expertise in BPG, driving consistency of practices.
- Coordinate updates of business processes & I/T system data. Collaborate with process owners to transfer outcomes to standard business process.
- Ensure training occurs with new practices.
- Create BPG data standard repository using advanced tools.
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial/Mfg Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or, related field required.
- Project Management, Process Improvement, Lean, Six Sigma trained preferred.
- 5-7+ years of relevant supply chain, materials management, or master data experience required.
- Experience using data driven systems across the order fulfillment continuum.
- Deep knowledge of ERP data.
- Able to identify data requirements to enable strategy & achievement of goals & objectives.
- Demonstrate understanding of use of data driven processes & systems in a complex environment. Understand system integration, impact on internal & external processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and strategically.
- Strong project management skills, ability to prioritize tasks, balance multiple projects, and meet timelines. Able to break down complicated problems and projects into manageable goals.
- Excellent communication, presentation and team building skills.
- Ability to collaborate with team members at all levels of the organization. Build an effective network across functions.
- Experience in leading change.
- Self-starter.
