Job DescriptionProcurement Specialist (Remote)
  • Contract Duration: 3+ Months

Key Responsibilities:
  • The Procurement Specialist is responsible for managing the acquisition of materials, services, and products necessary for various programs.
  • Collaborates with program leaders to pinpoint essential long-lead items.
  • Generates purchase orders utilizing Coupa and Costpoint systems.
  • Ensures that supplier documentation, including terms and conditions and non-disclosure agreements, is prepared before engagement.
  • Oversees supplier orders, tracks backlog and daily order status, adjusts timelines as required, and modifies purchase orders for overdue shipments and outstanding orders.
  • Addresses discrepancies related to procurement, delivery, receiving, accounts payable invoices, and supplier payments.
  • Accelerates material procurement to manage shortages effectively.
  • Coordinates the return of incorrect materials to vendors following receiving inspections.
  • The Procurement Specialist actively participates in ongoing improvement initiatives throughout the supply chain.

Required Qualifications:
  • 0-2 years of tactical purchasing experience; recent graduates are welcome.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline.
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Windows applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams as well as independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Proven negotiation skills with successful outcomes.
