Category Manager – COE Coffee Systems

The COE Category Manager plays a critical role in fostering business results, serving as a key conduit between our commercialization efforts and retail execution, and directly supporting our customer facing selling teams and broader Category Management network across KDP to drive material business results.
The right candidate for this role will be responsible for building strong partnerships with key Large Format Grocery retailers by providing strategic, consultative category guidance to deliver market leading growth for the Keurig Dr Pepper portfolio, with a focus on our industry leading coffee systems business.
Location of hire is flexible to one of our HQ locations (Burlington MA / Frisco TX) or remote location in the US.
Expectations of the role:
Serve as a conduit in driving win/win decisions, recommendations, and market influence through data analysis to articulate fact-based decisions, deckbuilding, and sound storytelling in formal actionable recommendations related to shelving, merchandising, pricing, promotion and assortment. Work closely with your COE counterparts (shopper insights / analytics & planning / omni), and the Total Large Format Grocery Category Management team to establish, lead and influence organizational wiring, best practices and a thought leadership mindset. Leverage critical thinking and problem-solving skills to recognize and anticipate issues and opportunities by elevating analyses beyond reporting and translate insight into retail action. Develop & deliver fully integrated consumer, shopper, category and marketplace insights and trends to guide strategic choices and tactical executions, to drive market leading growth for the short and long term across Large Format Grocery. Conduct robust analysis using research, category management capabilities, sound financial acumen, analytical tools, and effective data visualization to identify and communicate business opportunities or challenges to key internal / external stakeholders as necessary. Influence team and business activities through creation, articulation, and execution of systems, processes, and new ways of thinking to enhance business results and raise the bar in all that we do as a collective function for KDP. Exhibit strong track record and commitment to continuous improvement in behaviors, practices, and corporate strategy. Exhibit critical thinking and strategic insight – with an ability to leverage relevant insights (industry, category, brand, channel, Route to Market, shopper, consumer, and account) to develop a strategic agenda that drives focus and results behind KDP's strategic priorities. Vocal pedigree to drive thoughtful dialogue and strategic discussion with cross functional partners. Develop and cultivate business relationships with key external retailer contacts that establish KDP as the indispensable partner for all category management needs. Direct support and influence in customer facing sell-in efforts for key retailers, and partner brands to fuel our collective business results. Experience handling unique challenges with a nimble, and solution minded approach to effectively get things done across vastly different customers with different strategies and routes to market.
