The Division of Infectious Diseases in the Department of Medicine at Washington University in St. Louis is seeking a clinical/translational researcher with experience in infectious disease, immunology and/or vaccinology. This position is a combined research and clinical faculty position with available funding to support clinical and translational research in vaccinology. The appointee will be expected to make significant contributions to research, clinical care, and protocol development within the Division of Infectious Disease, the Infectious Disease Clinical Research Unit and the Washington University Center for Vaccines and Immunity to Microbial Pathogens.

Responsibilities:Develop and lead innovative clinical and translational research initiatives focused on advancing the development and understanding of vaccines against current and emerging pathogens.Develop and implement clinical trial protocols and procedures.Develop translational trials evaluating the immunology of vaccines.Actively participate in the mentorship of residents, fellows, and faculty in developing clinical research careers in vaccinology.Ability or willingness to perform or supervise staff in performing bone marrow biopsies for clinical and translational research protocols.Requirements:MD or MD/PhD with clinical and/or research experience in infectious diseases, immunology and/or vaccinology.Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases.Possession or eligibility to obtain a State of Missouri Medical License.Application Process: Interested applicants should submit the following documents to Rachel Presti, MD, PhD Section Director, Section of Virology, Division of Infectious Diseases, Campus Box 8051, 4523 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110.Letter of inquiry outlining interest and qualifications.Curriculum vitae detailing prior experience and achievements.Washington University in St. Louis is an equal-opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
