The Chen Lab at Washington University in St. Louis is on the lookout for a dedicated Postdoctoral Research Associate to engage in NIH-funded investigations into hereditary photoreceptor disorders resulting from genetic alterations.
Our mission is to deepen the understanding of these conditions and to innovate and implement therapeutic methodologies for future clinical applications.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research utilizing mouse models in collaboration with a team of enthusiastic early-career scientists.
- Apply interdisciplinary techniques including retinal cell biology, functional genomics, imaging, and biochemistry.
Required: PhD in biological or biomedical sciences or an MD with relevant experience in biomedical research.
Preferred: Prior experience in vision research is advantageous.
Working EnvironmentThis role is situated in a laboratory setting with potential exposure to biological and chemical risks. The candidate must be capable of wearing protective gear and providing standard care to research animals.
CompensationThe salary will be determined based on experience.
