Daylight is a decentralized energy network building a more reliable and sustainable energy grid. Our platform supports energy applications like electrification marketplaces and programmable, distributed power plants, all powered by a collaborative community.

Our work is fast-paced, collaborative, and cross-disciplinary. Our team works out of our New York City office.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Community Manager to engage, support, and grow our vibrant community of thousands of participants who are building Daylight together. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering strong communities, excellent communication skills, and experience managing online platforms and events.

Responsibilities
Manage and moderate the Daylight community Discord, ensuring a welcoming, inclusive, and productive environment for all participants
Develop and execute a community engagement strategy to foster participation, collaboration, and growth
Create and distribute regular community updates, newsletters, and announcements to keep participants informed and engaged
Organize and host virtual and in-person events, such as meetups, workshops, hackathons, and Q&A sessions
Collaborate with the marketing and social media teams to create and distribute content that showcases the community's achievements and milestones
Monitor community sentiment, gather feedback, and relay insights to the product, engineering, and leadership teams to inform platform improvements and decision-making
Provide support and guidance to community members, addressing their questions, concerns, and needs in a timely and professional manner
Identify and nurture community champions and thought leaders to amplify Daylight's mission and impact
Represent Daylight at industry events, conferences, and panels to promote the community and attract new participants
Work irregular hours and weekends when necessary to support community activities and events

Qualifications
3+ years of experience in community management, preferably in the decentralized technology, energy, or sustainability sectors
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to adapt to different audiences and contexts
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders
Experience managing online communities and platforms, such as Discord, Slack, or forums
Familiarity with community engagement strategies, best practices, and metrics
Proficient in social media management and content creation tools
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment

Nice to Haves
Experience with decentralized physical infrastructure networks, decentralized finance (DeFi), or related onchain applications
Knowledge of energy markets, sustainability issues, and community-driven initiatives
Event planning and project management experience
Proficiency in graphic design, video editing, or content creation tools
Established network and presence within relevant online communities and ecosystems
