Method is seeking a Community Manager to join our New York City team. As a Community Manager, you'll be responsible for setting the tone for the office. You'll be the person to ensure that everyone that walks through our doors has a warm and welcoming experience. This role is for someone who loves variety and is ready to take on a wide range of problems to solve.


Responsibilities:

  • Planning creative events (weekly and monthly) for internal employees and coordinating events in our space for the New York Office
  • Working with the People Operations team on new employee onboarding and offboarding tasks including issuing badges and other office supplies
  • Owning the office environment - including opening up the office and cafe area, mailing work related packages, maintaining inventory of office, and conference room bookings
  • Coordinate internal initiatives related to employee experience - employee and client gifts, and monthly newsletters
  • Manage communication with property manager and vendor relationships, including IT, security and janitorial staff
  • Work with our Sales team for client meeting coordination in and outside of office, as well as booking travel for sales related events
  • Main point of contact for various office needs, supporting Method and GlobalLogic employees and clients
  • Provide administrative support for managing Method internal benefits and perks
  • as needed for other US Method locations


Qualifications:

You are a confident, self-motivated problem solver with excellent communication skills, and the ability to make plans, coordinate schedules, assemble vendors and partners, and organize events effectively. You can make arrangements for food, deliveries, speakers, and guests with minimal outside assistance. You can make improvements to processes, find efficiencies in work, and come up with ideas to create great experiences for event participants. You are a natural helper. When you see someone in need, your instinct to help in any way you can. You're a team player and no job is too small for you to take on.

You will be successful in this role if you have:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience planning and hosting social and/or work-related events
  • Experience organizing and coordinating schedules with external vendors and internal team members
  • Must possess the ability to effectively juggle multiple tasks concurrently, demonstrate consistent follow-up on assignments, and exhibit strong organizational skills
  • Ability to build relationships with team members, industry professionals and executives
  • Reliable transportation to and from office space in NYC
  • Flexibility to be available for weekday events during business hours or weeknight events after working hours with appropriate notice
