Description

Summary: Under the direction of department management exercises responsibility for execution of the company's strategic and tactical plans through department and related staff for the IT department. This position exercises independent judgment routinely and operates within established guidelines.

Essential Functions

  • Keep Network systems running (daily/hourly).
  • Responsible for all network operating systems.
  • Responsible for all desktop productivity software.
  • Responsible for corporate email and internet access.
  • Plans and implements new network additions/ expansions.
  • Responsible for maintaining HITACHI CA and MI servers.
  • Responsible for standardization of desktop PC systems.
  • Responsible for personal computer maintenance.

Qualifications

Knowledge, skills & abilities: Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Possess ability to perform duties utilizing current company software applications. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, verbal and written communication skills required. This position performs job duties in an ethical and professional manner. Education

College degree in Business or Information Systems or equivalent experience required

Experience

At least two years in a manufacturing environment is recommended.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervisory responsibilities may be possible to perform the job duties as designated by area management.

Working Conditions:

Physical Demands: Required to sit or stand for long periods of time. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Ability to work 40 – 60 hours per week.

Travel: Up to 10% domestic and international may be required as needed.

Work Environment: Working in an office environment with exposure to manufacturing areas.
