Job Summary

The Quality Technician I will be responsible for ensuring product quality by carrying out assignments from quality management, maintaining document control, calibration, product approval, weld control, and receiving inspection systems. The successful candidate will also assist in operator training on quality-related issues, report needs and opportunities for improvement of overall product quality, and interact with suppliers on quality issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist quality management in ensuring product quality by carrying out assignments and maintaining document control, calibration, product approval, weld control, and receiving inspection systems.
  • Assist in operator training on quality-related issues and report needs and opportunities for improvement of overall product quality.
  • Interact with suppliers on quality issues and review and verify supplier corrective action responses.
  • Support systems for ISO9001 compliance and lead/direct suspect product containment activities.
  • Participate in error proofing and continuous improvement activities to improve plant PPM and support APQP launch initiatives under the direction of the quality manager or quality engineer.
Requirements
  • 1-3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Quality experience within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of PPAP's control plans, FMEA's, flow charts, sampling, control charts, blue-print reading, GD&T, inspection techniques preferred.
  • Ability to problem solve, use quality inspections and test measuring tools, and work with others in a team environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and willingness to work overtime.
