The Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business at North Dakota State University invites motivated researchers to apply for a 1-year Postdoctoral Fellow position focused on entrepreneurial research aimed at advanced scholarship on topics related to national support of technology transfer, entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial ecosystems, and best practices particularly as they relate to translational ventures. entrepreneurship and/or family business. This position is funded by the Great Plains I-Corp Hub. The Innovation-Corps (I-Corps) program is a vital part of the National Science Foundation's mission to create and support a national innovation network. I-Corps Hubs bring together institutions of higher education to collaborate and deliver a standardized curriculum. This program offers training to university researchers who are interested in entrepreneurship education and mentoring, with the ultimate goal of reducing the time it takes to transform technologies from the laboratory to the market. Aligning with the NSF I-Corps mission of reducing the risk associated with translating technologies from the laboratory to the marketplace, the mission of the NSF I-Corps Hub: Great Plain Region is to increase the economic and societal impact of science-based innovations made at academic institutions throughout the Great Plains region. The Great Plains Regional I-Corps Hub partners with eight universities in North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Wyoming.

The Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business has prioritized impactful, informative research so we are looking for a highly ambitious "rising star" that is interested in collaborating with a team of scholars dedicated to advancing and promoting research with groundbreaking potential. The Center's team of researchers have published in top entrepreneurship and management journals such as Journal of Business Venturing, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, Journal of Applied Psychology, Organizational Research Methods, Entrepreneurship & Regional Development, International Small Business Journal, and the Entrepreneurship Research Journal.

NDSU's Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business is housed with the College of Business. The Center for Entrepreneurship and Family Business engages in research and teaching that inspires the next-generation of problem-solvers, the next exchange of research ideas, and the next collision of people who might not normally interact. North Dakota State University is a Carnegie R1 research institution, a distinction presented to only the top research institutions in the country.

The start date is negotiable with a preference to have the successful candidate start in September 2024. Salary is $70K and the benefits are competitive. In addition, financial support iReseas awarded for presentations and research initiatives.

Required Job Qualifications
Applicants must have or be pursuing a Ph.D. in Entrepreneurship or a related field from an AACSB-accredited institution. To be considered, candidates must provide convincing evidence that their doctorate degree will be completed by position start date. An established record of publishing empirical research in top-tier, peer reviewed, academic journals, or a demonstrated potential to do so, is required. Candidates must also have the interest and ability to effectively teach courses in entrepreneurship and conduct research with colleagues.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in multiple research methods and complement the research strengths of the faculty working in the Center.
