We are excited to announce an opening for a key position within our organization: the Director of Supply Chain, North America for Functional Systems. This role will be instrumental in streamlining the end-to-end supply chain for our largest blending operation. Our facility produces a unique Functional System portfolio, and we are seeking a dynamic leader to drive excellence in planning, execution, and optimization. The supply chain team is split over two locations: the US headquarters in Lenexa, KS (where the position is based) and the plant in Totowa, NJ and reports to the VP Global Supply Chain.

Role Overview: As the Director of Supply Chain, you will lead critical activities, including:

Mid to Long-Term Planning:

  • Develop strategic plans that align with business objectives.
  • Facilitate the S&OP process for Function Systems.
  • Optimize capacity planning and resource allocation.
  • Drive efficiency across our Functional Systems plants and tollers in the America's.

Short-Term Production Schedule and Material Planning:

  • Ensure seamless production scheduling and material availability.
  • Collaborate closely with plant operations and tollers.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management to efficiently schedule new product trials, and recipe changes in line with agreed service levels.

Inventory and Distribution Planning:

  • Manage inventory levels across owned and third-party warehouses, inventory health is managed for finished goods and raw materials. Due to demand volatility and strict shelf life requirements this requires continuous control.
  • Oversee distribution logistics within North America and to Mexico and Brazil.

Qualifications and Mindset: To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in supply chain management with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Safety Culture - lead with a safety first mindset.
  • Hands-On Leadership - dive into details when needed, resolving challenges while maintaining composure under pressure.
  • Strategic Vision - analyze the end-to-end supply chain and create a roadmap for mid to long-term improvements including the wider scope of our blending network with sites in Latin America.
  • Customer Focus - inspire and support your team to deliver exceptional service to our critical customers.
  • Decision Making - demonstrate ability to make sound, professionally based decisions
  • ERP Expertise - proficiency in advance planning and ERP systems, preferably SAP 4HANA and OMP, able to lead quick resolution of incidents and drive enhancement.
  • Collaboration - work closely with experts within and outside of the supply chain community, like customer service, procurement, manufacturing and engineering to enhance supply chain processes.
  • Innovation Drive - continuously optimize supply plans, maximizing production output.
  • Effective Communication: Challenge colleagues constructively, always with the company's best interests in mind.
  • Foster development: Creating training and learning opportunities in a safe environment, creative and active in organizing cross functional pollination of knowledge.
  • Proven track record of success in supply chain planning, inventory management, and process improvement.
  • Nice to have: certifications like APICS (Association for Supply Chain Management).
  • Must be willing and able to travel internationally and domestically across country requiring overnight/multiple day visits.
