Reports To: CTO

SHYFT Power Solutions is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to lead the building and management of manufacturing

and supply chain operations for SHYFT hardware products. The Supply Chain Manager will take on substantial ownership

of all manufacturing and logistics operations, ensuring that products get built in a timely manner, striking the right balance

of high quality and low cost, and delivering products to customers efficiently and on time. This role will include significant

involvement with external partners and suppliers to establish key relationships towards manufacturing and logistics

requirements. It will also include global travel to partner locations to establish and maintain these relationships.

This role represents an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader to provide key contributions towards the setup and

ongoing operation of manufacturing, testing and supply chain processes for an impactful product at a critical time period

for the company. The candidate chosen for this role will have the chance to contribute to a small and dynamic team in

pursuit of SHYFT's environmental mission. Success in this position in the near-to-medium term will be evident in the

creation and ramp up of key early manufacturing relationships and processes to meet near term production targets. In the

longer term, success will look like an effectively managed manufacturing and supply chain process which consistently

meets production targets for our products, while seeking to lower costs, improve quality and expand our operations to new

products and capabilities on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities Include:

● Define and implement processes and strategies for production of SHYFT hardware products

● Ensure timely delivery of SHYFT products to the Operations team to meet inventory requirements and project

timelines

● Own cost metrics on SHYFT products, to ensure we achieve gross margin targets

● Actively identify ways to lower cost and improve production quality on the range of SHYFT products

● Engage with the Engineering team to implement robust and consistent product testing methods to ensure

production quality and consistency

● Work with the CTO to oversee projects aimed at designing products for DfM, DfA and cost optimization

● Structure and negotiate agreements with manufacturing and logistics partners

● Conduct regular review of partner performance against agreed targets and highlight issues or risks to SHYFT's

executive team

● Oversee NPI processes, working closely with SHYFT Engineering and external partners to continually innovate

and improve SHYFT's product offerings

● Provide input and support to the Business Development team to ensure that manufacturing and logistics

operations are in line with customer requirements and expectations

● Implement PLM solutions (such as Arena) for management of BOM and revision history

Required Qualifications:

● Bachelor's level degree or higher, or equivalent experience, in engineering, supply chain management, finance or

related field.

● 5+ years working in supply chain management, manufacturing and logistics fields, with a preference for

experience with automotive or industrial electronics

● Demonstrated experience successfully building and managing new manufacturing processes, from prototype to

full-scale production

● Ability to work in a detail-oriented and process-oriented manner, while also being able to think strategically

● Strong skills in negotiating contracts and agreements, with emphasis on considering key strategic interests and

priorities of the company

● Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to represent the company to external parties

● Flexibility and adaptability, with a record of success working in a fast paced and dynamic work environment like

that of an early-stage startup

● Solid understanding of product lifecycle management and key manufacturing phases such as EVT, DVT and PVT

Bonus Qualifications:

● Experience in the energy industry, especially clean energy or distributed energy systems

● Experience working in emerging markets, including navigating customs clearance and regulatory requirements for

importation

● Knowledge of electrical system or energy product standards (IEC , UL 1008, etc.) and familiarity with how

testing to these standards should be integrated into manufacturing and NPI processes.

● Previous leadership of DfM or cost optimization initiatives, working across engineering and manufacturing roles
