JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
The Department of Campus Recreation is seeking Penn State students to fill the position of Lead Facilitator. This position is responsible for helping train and supervise Challenge Course Facilitators and being a site manager for programs at Stone Valley Recreation Area and the University Park campus.

Lead Facilitators ensure that all policies and procedures are followed in order to effectively manage the risk of the activities while accomplishing the goals and objectives of the group. Candidates should be responsible, detail-oriented, and personable individual who can work with a wide variety of groups. Lead Facilitators should possess at least 1 year of team-building/facilitation experience and demonstrate proficiency with the necessary technical skills.

Throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons Outdoor Adventures facilitates sports teams, leadership groups, youth groups, schools and corporations in a variety of settings including low ropes and high ropes team development courses, 2 outdoor climbing structures, and portable team building programs. The outdoor season runs from the beginning of April through the end of October, but programs may be scheduled year-round.

Campus Recreation is a department within Student Affairs that provides fitness, wellness, and recreational programs to the campus community through the operation and administration of the new expanded and renovated 200,000 sf Intramural Building, the McCoy Natatorium, the 700-acre Stone Valley Outdoor Recreation Area, a Tennis Center including six clay courts and four indoor courts, the White Building, Outdoor Adventures, Aquatics, Club Sports, Fitness and Wellness Programs, and Intramural Sports.
