The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist Supervisor will manage a dedicated team of experienced clinical laboratory scientists and laboratory technicians.
Reporting to the BMT Assistant Nurse Manager, the supervisor will lead a talented group, supported by multiple clinical lab scientists and technicians, as well as the Oncology/Hematology department and Transplant division.
This position is crucial for overseeing clinical operations within the Cell Therapy processing laboratory.
The Lead Clinical Laboratory Scientist Supervisor will possess expertise in Stem Cells, BMT/Cell Therapies, and Cellular Therapy Products, facilitating cellular therapy processes across the BMT and immune effector cell service lines.
Collaboration with the Malignant Hematology Cell Therapy and Transplant Clinical Leadership and Quality Teams will be essential, as the supervisor evaluates a range of cellular therapy service requests and ensures laboratory readiness while overseeing regulatory compliance and quality outcomes for all cell collection and processing procedures.
Additionally, the supervisor will ensure that the team maintains current clinical competencies and will actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, including managing various accreditations and audits.
