Interstate Power System's Lakeville Minnesota location is looking for a National Account Representative. We are looking for an energetic person to be focused on National clients for power generation service and product sales. This person would focus on customers that could do business with any of our locations across the country. We are looking to grow our service reach within our territory but also focus on national service sales.

National Account Representatives fulfill a critical role in our operations. They are responsible for increasing Power Generation Sales with existing accounts and prospecting for new accounts in their territory. They solicit new business and maintain accounts through face-to-face and phone contacts, developing networks and industry contacts, promoting our value-added products and services, and keeping customer satisfaction a priority.

National Account Representative Job Duties:

  • The primary duties of this position will be to actively grow and promote the sales and servicing of all MTU/Rolls Royce Power Generation products company wide.
  • Actively identify and develop new customer contacts to expand market share and sales of all Power Generation products.
  • Assist customers in solving problems and provide technical support.
  • Act as a liaison between the customer and company as needed to ensure that the customer needs are adequately met.

National Account Representative Desired Skills and Qualities:

  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership and communication skills-to include written and verbal communication.
  • Working knowledge of the Power Generation market.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the United States.
  • Self-starter who can identify the strengths present in a location and utilize those strengths to develop a positive business plan.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and network.
  • Must have strong sales background with proven sales history.

National Account Representative Requirements:

  • High school degree or equivalent required
  • 5+ years recent and relevant experience with outside sales
  • Experience in Power Generation products and or service is a must.
