Description:
As a Senior Underwriting Manager at Kaiser Permanente, you will play a key role in evaluating data to gain insights into premium, claim, exposure, and population. Leading a team to identify and address data irregularities, develop models, tools, and assumptions supporting business strategies, and enhance risk management. You will guide the team to drive quality and process improvements, supporting department initiatives and enterprise goals while representing Underwriting in leadership settings. Your responsibilities will also include account risk assessment and managing rate negotiations with external parties.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Provide developmental opportunities and build collaborative relationships.
  • Manage work units by aligning team efforts, ensuring policy compliance, and fostering work plans development.
  • Ensure accurate data analysis and reporting by overseeing evaluation of complex data, managing case and underwriting work, and engaging with the external market effectively.
  • Influence goals and program development efforts, manage compliance, and drive engagement with the external market.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years of leadership experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and minimum six years of relevant experience.

  • Key Skills: Business Acumen, Negotiation, Data Analysis, Financial Modeling, Interpersonal and Organizational Skills, among others.
