The Senior Analyst Business Insights North America belongs to the global SI team and supports both the Cheese and SqueeZ businesses, with a direct reporting line to the NorAm Business Analytics Group Manager. The position is located in either New York or Chicago.
MAIN MISSIONS
Within the Strategic Insights department (around 25 people in the world), and as part of the SI North America Market Champions team, you will lead research and data analysis to further understand consumers & shoppers, Bel brands, categories, and competitors, and to influence the development and implementation of relevant brand, innovation, and category strategies in the local BUs. You will also contribute to transversal projects (Brand agnostic, Multi brands and/or Multi countries).
You will act as a business partner for cheese and squeeze USA & Canada Marketing and Sales teams, and lead or support business analytics work to drive growth in those business units.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
- Support the NorAm Business Analytics Group Manager to execute the relevant business analytics learning agenda & roadmap to address local key business priorities.
- Leverage trends, data, consumer & shopper insights to inform local strategies, accelerate business growth and identify new business opportunities.
- Identify learning gaps and turn them into data-based learning roadmap with clear objectives.
- Leverage data & analytics agency partnerships to maximize added value.
- Drive and expand data & analytics culture and usage (sell out data, consumer data, retailer data)
- Drive business and brand performance analysis and processes. Support in monthly consumption analysis & reporting process and act as a business partner to marketing and sales teams.
- Develop and manage analytic tools on both ongoing and ad-hoc basis in partnership with Global Business Analytics lead. Upskill & Train the local teams leveraging analysis templates and tools developed by the SI Business Analytics group (RGM, Sales uplift, etc.)
- Leverage various data sources (POS data, HH purchase dynamics, consumption trends, retailer data etc.) to explain drivers of business performance and inform both tactical and strategic business decisions with actionable recommendations.
- Translate data into clear, persuasive reports and presentations for senior leadership.
- Support Marketing, Sales, Finance and Supply Chain teams in category and retail analysis to understand underlying trends and impact to brand/retailer volume performance.
- Contribute to the NorAm SI team & Global Strategic Insights full team life and mission:
- Responsible for transversal projects in the SI Community and Share business cases and best practices with other members across the globe.
- Roll out & amplify SI global Business Analytics programs.

PROFILE/SKILLS
Education & Experience:
- 5+ years of experience and expertise as business analyst / consultant with a strong focus on business analysis in CPG in North America.
- Experience working with data and data providers such as Circana/ Nielsen, Kantar, or loyalty cards analytic programs coupled to strong sensitivity to consumer, market & product.
- Experience working in a multicultural, international environment / company is necessary.
- Fluent in English.
Technical skills
- Excellent analytical skills and experience manipulating large, complex datasets from multiple sources (Nielsen, Circana, etc.), coupled to solid business thinking.
- Strong POS & HHP data knowledge and ease with data providers software.
- Affinity for visualizing data in a way that is relevant to answering specific business questions.
- Expert knowledge of Microsoft excel, PBI is a plus.
