Business Development Representative, High Growth

About the Role
The Business Development Representative demonstrates proficiency as a solution selling expert, maintaining executive relationships with vendor and customer. Responsible for the complete sales cycle with an aim to maximizing revenue, net gross profits and customer satisfaction by developing deep relationships with key people in the supplier organization & partners. This role incorporates the vendor's full line card as well as TD SYNNEX offerings. This role requires strong business and financial acumen, leadership skills, and effective communication and influencing abilities.
The ideal candidate is local to one of our offices, capable of working on a hybrid schedule, and exhibits a strong desire and capacity to promote TD SYNNEX's high-growth technologies across cloud, data, and AI.
This role could be classified as Level I, II, III, or IV depending on business needs and the candidate's skill level. This job description is reflective of a Business Development Rep IV.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring their satisfaction and addressing any concerns or issues.
- Maintains executive relationships with vendor; communicates at exec level internally; highest level SME on vendor knowledge
- Identify new partnership opportunities by researching the market and staying updated on industry trends and customer needs.
- Collaborate with vendors to develop and execute strategic initiatives that drive business growth.
- Analyze data and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to drive results.
- Continuously explore and develop new strategies and approaches to uncover business opportunities.
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer demands to identify potential areas for growth.
- Utilize a solution selling approach, incorporating the vendor's full line card as well as TD SYNNEX offerings.
- Provide comprehensive solutions to customers by leveraging the combined strengths of the vendor and TD SYNNEX.
- Act as a lead go-to person for sales personnel, providing support and guidance in dealing with customer inquiries, sales strategies, and business development opportunities.
- Foster and maintain executive-level relationships with the vendor.
- Collaborate with vendor executives to align strategies, discuss business opportunities, and strengthen partnerships.
- Effectively communicate with internal executives to provide updates on vendor activities, discuss strategies, and align objectives.
- Attend industry specific business trainings from vendors.
- Seen as lead for peer development, training, & coaching; lead on complex issues
- Strong business & financial acumen, leadership skills, communication/influencing abilities
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of relevant work experience preferred.
- Associate's degree in business, marketing, computer science, or related field preferred, or equivalent education and experience.
- High School Diploma required.
- Proficient in negotiation skills for a profitable P&L.
- Strong business acumen, leadership, and communication skills.
- Customer relationship management, negotiation, good judgment, vendor pricing/program knowledge, office skills, and process knowledge.
- Thorough understanding of sales processes, procedures, and terminology.
- Ability to travel occasionally as needed.
- Proficient in executing instructions, using common office equipment, and basic data entry and mathematical skills.
- Demonstrated ability in problem-solving, critical thinking, decision-making, and attention to detail.
- Clear and effective communication in English and other languages.
- Skilled in creating and delivering formal presentations, interacting with high-level management, negotiating, and promoting ideas persuasively.
- Ability to understand, communicate with, and collaborate effectively with diverse teams.
- Strong leadership, organizational, time management, and adaptability skills.
- Comfortable working under pressure, maintaining social, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Self-directed with the ability to multitask, maintain confidentiality, and build effective working relationships.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to the needs, concerns, and feelings of others.
- Comfortable with extended phone use, immobility, and standing/walking for extended periods.
- Quick learner, adaptable to new technology and systems.
- Proficient in relevant computer systems and applications at an advanced level.
- Flexible with occasional non-standard work hours or overtime.
- Able to work in a professional office environment with hybrid work options.
