Responsibilities

We are looking for a Purchasing Coordinator in our Austin Division to focus on the following:

Be responsible for high volumes of data entry.
Be responsible for reviewing budgets on a lot by lot basis.
Research and resolve vendor disputes, including product or pricing issues, and invoice and contract discrepancies.
Manage all contract documents including the preparation of plans and documentation for bid process; verify accuracy and completeness of all documents.
Coordinate Bid process for new subdivisions including developing bid packages with plans, scopes-of-work and standard and optional features; receive, review, and approve price quotes/bids.
Generate spreadsheets from complete and accurate bids that reflect each trades respective scopes-of-work.
Assist in base cost and option price analysis. (More emphasis in new communities).
Review plans, scopes-of-work, and specifications for accuracy.
Research and provide analysis and thorough back-up information as to why increase is necessary and must be applied.
Archive Project and Lot files and other important documentation in Meritage's central archive system.

Qualifications
At least one year of experience in an administrative role.
BA or BS strongly preferred.
Proficiency in MS Office products especially Excel.
Experience with Build-Pro, Salesforce, and JD Edwards software a plus.
Ability to read and interpret blue prints and other construction documents.
Experience with large project bidding and bid events a plus.
Enjoy a fast paced, high-volume work environment.
Service a professional point of contact for other Meritage employees, divisional and departmental personnel and vendors.
