What the role is:

Solutions Engineering Project Manager

Reports To: Director of Project Management

Basic Scope and Function:

The primary objective of the SET Project Manager is to ensure the success of proactive operations across engineering business units with milestone driven, highly communicative project management at the forefront. This role will be 75% engineering and 25% PM focused, spanning across multiple SET business units to ensure project completion to the satisfaction of clients & Network Coverage Management.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure SET provides a consistent, positive service delivery experience with a sharp focus on client satisfaction.
  • Establish and maintain timelines in Microsoft Project.
  • Documentation of projects/progress.
  • Hold regular conference calls with client POCs and UAT groups throughout project lifecycle.
  • Work with Compliance team to track post-migration/project success.
  • Offer insights and improvements to project related processes & systems.
  • KPI establishment, enforcement, and reporting. Meet frequently with Network Coverage Management to review projects at a high level.
  • Identify resource allocation and utilization constraints.
  • Proactively review active projects on a regular basis to look-ahead at project & resource allocation roadmap.
  • Facilitate active and open communication between SET resources.
  • Enforcement of policy and procedure pertaining to SET activities.
  • Maintain ConnectWise Project Board + associated time entries and align with Monday activities.
  • Provide assistance and support to CIO & Director of Solutions Engineering.
  • Assist in project oversight including technical life cycle from conception to completion, with an emphasis on scheduling, coordination, technical soundness and resource efficiency.
  • Implementation of granular, milestone driven scheduling and resource coordination/allocation mechanisms in the interest of project execution efficiency and forecasting.
  • Apply architectural and functional standards to each project.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field and 3 years' experience in an information-technology related occupation.
  • Experience must include 3 years' practical engineering experience and one year assistant project management experience.
