We're hiring a full-time Service Manager to work with our Outdoor Power Equipment and Compact Tractor service teams in Medina, OH. Our ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality, have a strong desire to lead a successful team, and receive genuine personal satisfaction from delivering excellent service to others. What you will be doing:
  • Oversee day to day operations of the service department
  • Champion creative ideas for the betterment of our team and customers
  • Greeting walk-in and phone-in customers needing assistance
  • Ensure that equipment is maintained or repaired as requested by internal or external customers
  • Overseeing and managing the service center's scheduling and work flow focusing on the minimization of time in shop
  • Proactively communicating the status of a customers' equipment repair using telephone, texting and email (whichever the customer prefers)
  • Preparing invoices for completed repair or service work and collecting payment
  • Follow up with customers after a repair to ensure satisfaction
  • Seeking manufacturer's approval for warranty repair and submitting warranty claims
  • Assist customers with rental equipment and service loaners
  • Operate a forklift safely after our training program
  • Communicating with and supporting other departments and/or stores in the company
  • Responsible for communicating need of equipment and/or supplies to management
We are looking for someone with:
  • Extensive experience in a customer service position, equipment or automotive dealership experience a plus
  • Experience with dealership service department management
  • High school diploma or GED minimum, Associates degree or higher preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent computer skills, with extensive experience with Word, Excel and locating data on the internet
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Customer service skills.
  • Effective time management skills.
  • Ability to work some Saturday mornings as required
