Overview
Tanaq Support Services (TSS) delivers professional, scientific, and technical services and information technology (IT) solutions to federal agencies in the health, agriculture, technology, and other government services. TSS is a subsidiary of the St. George Tanaq Corporation, an Alaskan Native Corporation (ANC) committed to serving Federal customers while also giving back to the Tanaq native community and shareholders.
About the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to support and foster engagement, collaboration, communication, and project task execution between our technical team and customers. The Project Manager engages with business owners to develop and document project requirements, facilitate communication and collaboration, coordinate day-to-day project planning, and support quality control.
This fully remote role that can be based in Atlanta, GA or anywhere in the U.S. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Responsibilities
  • Engage and support business teams in eliciting and documenting requirements.
  • Coordinate and facilitate communication activities that foster collaboration.
  • Develop and maintain documentation of relevant business processes, procedures, and points of contact.
  • Construct test scripts and support quality assurance and acceptance testing.
  • Create attractive and functional documents and reports as needed.
  • Develop user manuals, how-to documents, and training curriculums.
  • Provide services and support that foster communication and collaboration.
  • Participate in meetings, record meeting notes, and update stakeholders.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables to ensure timely completion.
  • Identify, assess, and manage project risks and issues to mitigate impacts.
  • Develop and implement risk management plans and strategies.
  • Facilitate project status updates and progress reports.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Required Experience and Skills
  • Minimum 3-5 years of prior experience managing projects.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Must be able to use the Microsoft Office Suite in a business setting to support stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, planning, coordination, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and the ability to analyze and solve problems with limited information, oversight, or direction from leadership.
  • Proven experience in project management or project coordination.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Prior experience supporting a public health federal government agency highly desired.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or AWS preferred.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Trello, or Jira preferred.
  • Experience in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.
  • Ability to obtain government clearance.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Education and Training
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. An equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be considered.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar credentials preferred, but not required.
Physical Requirements
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. May need to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
